SOAR: Student Organized Alcohol Research
Professor of Psychology Pam Propsom and a group of DePauw students are conducting an experiment called SOAR (Student Organized Alcohol Research). SOAR evaluates student-drinking habits on campus. SOAR has been gathering research for the last six years. The group is currently collecting data on the opinions and perceptions of student alcohol consumption from faculty and staff. Propsom says that a survey was published on Survey Monkey to allow faculty and staff to evaluate their own alcohol consumption. The survey also tests the perceptions of student drinking on DePauw’s campus and the consequences of student alcohol use.
Results from this study have not been released due to surveys still being live.
