Spring Break Travel Advisories
DePauw University Administrators are advising students to be careful when making Spring Break decisions. Director of Public Safety Angela Nally says there are several precautions that students need to take.
NALLY: "Um… you know being more aware of your surroundings, making sure you know how to use the phone of you are going to a different country, being aware of where your credit cards are, and not taking your grandmothers heirlooms earrings with you."
Nally has handed out information to students about the risks involved with traveling over Spring Break. This information was given to the Risk Managers of Greek houses and RAs. Nally hopes students are smart enough to keep themselves out of dangerous situations.
NALLY: "We want all of our students to come back and tell us what a great time they had on Spring Break and not you know have them been through anything traumatic. You know your friends who are with you, go together, stay together, come home together, watch out for each other all the time. And um you know just if you’re going to go out and have a good time, just be safe about it."
