November 8th Municipal Election
The Putnam County absentee voter board will be available for the purpose of absentee voting for the November 8th election from Tuesday, October 11th to Monday, November 7th.
Any Putnam county registered voter qualified to vote in the primary election may vote on the second floor of the Putnam county courthouse, between 9 am and 4 pm, Monday through Friday. The courthouse will also be open for absentee voting on Saturday, October 29th, and Saturday November 5th, between 8 am and 12 pm.
Voters must provide a government issued photo ID before casting an absentee ballot in person at the clerk’s office or voting in person at the polls on election day. The ID must display your photo, match with voter registration record name, have an expiration date, and be issued by the State of Indiana or the US government.
Any person requiring an absentee ballot to be mailed to them in county, out of county, or out of state must complete an application for an absentee ballot. This form is available at the voter registration office and must be filed before the ballot can be mailed. The deadline for voter registration to receive the application for a mail in absentee ballot is Monday, October 31, 2011 by midnight.
