DePauw Appoints New Vice President for Development and Alumni Engagement
DePauw President Brian Casey announced Wednesday that the university appointed Melanie Norton as the new Vice President for Development and Alumni Engagement. Norton previously served as Director of Gift Planning at DePauw and is currently a consultant at a leading philanthropic consulting firm in Greenwood. President Casey says with Norton’s experience and deep understanding of DePauw, he looks forward to seeing what DePauw can accomplish under her leadership. Norton will begin her role as Vice President for Development and Alumni Engagement June 1st. The university also promoted Senior Development Officer Steven Setchell to Associate Vice President for Alumni Engagement. Setchell will begin his new role immediately and will report to Norton.
President Casey also announced his plans to strengthen alumni involvement within the university. Norton and Setchell will direct programs that will strengthen the relationship between the alumni office and other university programs such as the Center for Student Engagement and the Office of Admission.
