DePauw’s Students Take Hold of Fullbright Scholarships
DePauw University is listed again in The Chronicle of Higher Education’s "Top Producers of Fulbright Awards for U.S. Students." The Fulbright Scholarship gives students and graduates the opportunity to study abroad. An article from DePauw states "It is the largest American international exchange program offering opportunities for students and young professionals to undertake international graduate study, advanced research, university teaching, and teaching in elementary and secondary schools worldwide." The funds for the scholarship come from the United States Congress to the Department of State. The Fulbright Scholarship chart shows that 4 people from DePauw received this prestigious grant for the 2012-213 academic year. An article on depauw.edu states that in past years, the University was also recognized for one of the United State’s top producers of Fulbright fellows. Go online to DePauw’s website or the Fulbright Scholar Programs website, www.cies.org, to learn more about the Fulbright scholarship.
