Welcome back to Another Great
Semester of WGRE!

Welcome Back

Mark your Calendars!

On February 7th at 7:30 PM,

The News Staff at WGRE is back to work, and we would like to make you aware of some of the opportunities available this semester!

We will meet on Tuesday, February 7th at 7:30 PM at the WGRE Radio Station. This meeting is very important if you are interested in getting involved with newscasts. Newscasts are five minute "news breaks" that provide the most recent updates in international, national, state-wide, and local news. Newscasts are a fun, easy way to get involved with WGRE.

We are also looking for WGRE reporters to produce short 15-30 second local stories to read on air, so journalists and aspiring writers, this is for you too! But you do not have to have any experience. We are willing to work with anyone interested in getting involved in the news department!

We will train you on using the radio equipment, sign up for newscasts slots, and review basic story-writing. It won't take long at all, but is mandatory if you want to be a newsie. Hope to see you there!
